The WDC Arts Department will carry out its April Luncheon Meeting on Tuesday, April 23rd, beginning at 12:00 Noon with lunch in a Private Room of Logan’s Restaurant, 100 South Fruitridge Avenue. After lunch there will be a short business meeting at Logan’s.
Members will then drive to Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. They will follow the main drive at Rose straight to the T ending the road, turn left, and park in the first large parking lot to the left. All will walk to the red brick building marking the end of the main drive— Hadley Hall. Christi Brinkman Robertson, Curator of the Art Museum at Rose Hulman, will be stationed at the main door on the ground level waiting to greet us. At 1:00 p.m. she will make a brief presentation and then guide us through areas of Hadley Hall and Moench Hall so that we may view the art on display. Among the Indiana artists’ paintings included on our tour will be those by: D. Omer Salty Seamon, Peter Bruning, James Shephard, Martha Caplin, Betty Boyle, Charles Cady, and Jerry Smith. The Rose Hulman Art Exhibit is most impressive!
Come and join us for lunch and the tour. For reservations or questions, please call 812-238-1706 or e-mail terrehautewdc@gmail.com
